Има ли помалерозен тим од Хјустон последнава деценија? Барем кога се во прашање повредите. Ако не е Трејси, тогаш е Јао, ако не е Јао, тогаш е Трејси. А често знаеше да се случи и двајцата да бидат во аут со посериозни повреди. Сега кога се научија да играат без Ти-Мек и станаа сила на Западот, Рокетси ќе мора да се крпат без својот најдобар играч и единствен центар во тимот. А и Трејси е уште повреден.
Штета, стварно штета која може да биде уште поголема ако се исполнат најцрните прогнози за големината на повредата на Јаоза…
Yao Ming could miss the entire 2009-10 season and his career could even be in jeopardy, according to a report from Yahoo!
“The realization has hit them that this is grave,” one NBA general manager said.
The Rockets have privately told league peers it could be a full season before Yao might be able to return to basketball. Multiple league executives, officials close to Yao and two doctors with knowledge of the diagnoses are describing a troubling re-fracture of his navicular bone. Three pins were inserted a year ago, but the foot cracked in the playoffs and isn’t healing.
“It sounds like he’s missing most of next season, if not the entire 82 games,” one league executive who has had recent discussions with the Houston front office told Yahoo! Sports. “That’s all that [the Rockets] will concede quietly, but they know it’s probably much worse.”

The Detroit Pistons agreed to terms with two of the NBA’s top free agents on the first day of free agency Wednesday, getting commitments from Chicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon and Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva on multi-year deals. Gordon agreed to terms on a five-year deal worth $58 million, according to sources, and Villanueva agreed a five-year deal worth $40 million. The deals used up all of the $19 million the Pistons had under next year’s likely salary cap, but makes Detroit a deep, versatile team after the Pistons were spanked in the first round of the playoffs.
